Canned Tomotes

Spring brings fresh produce to create delicious jams!!!! My appreciation for rhubarb comes from my dad, Quentin. This season the rhubarb is pairing with fresh cherries from the Wenatchee Valley.

These classes are inspired by the “farm to table” movement   happening across the nation. Many people have made the decision to eat more local foods leading to a renewed interest in preserving the  harvest by creating jams, making crunchy pickles, and by dehydrating fruits and vegetables. Home canning is fun, easy, and a great way to be more involved with your food. The jars are filled with an  abundance of fresh vegetables and fruits. Those who are fortunate enough to have a garden will follow a century old tradition “putting up food” at a time when nature withdraws her bounty in the  annual freeze.
Classes: $135.00 Group (4 people) or $55.00 per person

Class time: 2 -1/2 hours, includes a booklet, and canned product to take home.
